DR. Maureen Oriahi OD., M.sc.PH graduated with honors from the School of Optometry, University of Benin, Nigeria in 1986 and was in full time Optometric practice in Nigeria for 23 years. She also holds a Masters of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Dr. Oriahi was in the 2012 bridging program of the University Of Waterloo School Of Optometry and became Canadian licensed and board certified in Optometry and in the use of ocular pharmaceutical agents and glaucoma in 2012. She has extensive experience in family eye care, pediatric care and binocular vision. She is versed in the diagnosis and management of infections of the eye and conditions associated with systemic diseases. Dr. Oriahi was the Optometrist in Sears Owen Sound from May 2013 to November, 2016. Dr. Oriahi has been involved in several philanthropic activities including the War Against Blindness Project of the Eye Care and Youth Development Foundation as its founding executive director, and the annual eye screening by the Rotary club of Nigeria amongst others. And was recently in the Luxottica One Sight 2015 and 2016 teams to Mexico and China.

Dr. Oriahi is a recipient of the certificate of commendation by the Nigerian Optometric Association in 2010 and Rotary club of Amuwo, Lagos award in 1998.
